Family Care for Children & Youth provides
Emergency
Shelter services 24 hours a day, 365 days
a year. If a child is in immediate need of a safe place to
stay, FCCY can provide short-term placement with a foster
family for up to 30 days. During this time period, appropriate
plans for future living arrangements will be made by all involved
parties, including the child, the county caseworker, the child’s
biological/legal family, the FCCY case manager, and the foster
family. In many situations, it is suggested that the child
be moved from Emergency Shelter placement to our
Family-Based Services program.
